STEM Institute Program Director's Welcome
Welcome to the STEM Institute at Newton College and Career Academy
As the first STEM-certified College and Career Academy in Georgia, the NCCA STEM Institute is proud to lead the way in preparing students for high-demand, high-skill careers. Our four-year program—focused on Biotechnology and Engineering—welcomes motivated students from all three district high schools into a rigorous and supportive environment grounded in excellence.
At its core, STEM education is about solving real-world problems. The challenges of tomorrow will require graduates who can think critically, collaborate and communicate effectively, and innovate with purpose. Our program sets high standards and provides a culture of support that empowers students to explore advanced topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while developing both academic and professional skills.
Students at the STEM Institute are immersed in a dynamic learning community where expectations are high, relationships are strong, and opportunities for growth are abundant. They connect with peers, educators, industry partners, and mentors who share a vision of preparing the next generation of problem-solvers and leaders.
Upon graduation, students leave the STEM Institute with a clear understanding of the STEM career landscape, a passion for lifelong learning, and the skills necessary to thrive in college, career, and beyond. As STEM careers continue to drive economic and workforce development, our graduates are equipped to make meaningful contributions in fields that shape the future.
We are proud to support our students as they rise to meet the moment—and exceed it.
