Recruitment
The Newton College and Career Academy STEM Institute (NCCASI) recruits rising freshmen who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing careers in
engineering or
biotechnology. While students reflect the diversity of Newton County’s population, they share a common motivation to excel academically and a commitment to preparing for professional and leadership roles. Through a rigorous, project-based curriculum emphasizing systematic problem-solving, students develop the skills and experiences essential for success in STEM fields.
Eligibility
Eligible students must be enrolled in the 8th grade and complete Algebra by the end of the school year.

The NCCA STEM Institute has a multi-step process, which includes several criteria, such as: grades, teacher evaluations, standardized test scores, and a multi-part interview experience.
