Our Admissions Process

Recruitment

The Newton College and Career Academy STEM Institute (NCCASI) recruits rising freshmen who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing careers in engineering or biotechnology. While students reflect the diversity of Newton County’s population, they share a common motivation to excel academically and a commitment to preparing for professional and leadership roles. Through a rigorous, project-based curriculum emphasizing systematic problem-solving, students develop the skills and experiences essential for success in STEM fields.

Eligibility

Eligible students must be enrolled in the 8th grade and complete Algebra by the end of the school year.

Selection Process

The NCCA STEM Institute has a multi-step process, which includes several criteria, such as: grades, teacher evaluations, standardized test scores, and a multi-part interview experience.

Prospective associates will complete the STEM Institute application and reserve their inverview time.

Prospective associates participate in a multi-part interview experience at NCCA.

Letter

03.

Acceptance letters and wait list letters will be mailed, notifying all applicants of their status.
